Privacy & Cookie Policy

This website (the "Site") belongs to Frank Watson, DJ & producer, Belgium. We take your privacy seriously and keep things deliberately minimal. This page explains what data is (and isn't) processed when you visit.

2. Statistics: cookieless, no ads, no profiling

The Site uses no advertising networks, no tracking pixels and no profiling cookies, and we never sell or share personal data. We do keep simple visitor statistics so we can see which releases and pages are popular. This happens in two ways, both without cookies.

a) A counter in your own browser. Anonymous, aggregated technical information — page views, which sections were scrolled into view, which Beatport/Spotify/social links were clicked, browser language, device type, browser name and the site that referred you — is stored in your own browser's local storage under the key fw_stats_v1. It stays on your device, is never transmitted, and is not linked to your name, e-mail address or IP address. You can erase it at any time by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings.

b) GoatCounter. To measure how many people visit the Site in total, we may use GoatCounter, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics service.

• GoatCounter sets no cookies and does not track you across websites.
• It records the page visited, the referring site, and general browser, screen-size and country information.
• Your IP address is used only momentarily to generate a temporary, salted hash so that repeat views within one day are not double-counted. The IP address itself is not stored, and the salt is discarded, so the hash cannot be traced back to you.
• No personal data is collected, and nothing is used for advertising.
• GoatCounter's own privacy statement: goatcounter.com/help/privacy. Data is processed on servers in the European Union.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding, at an aggregate level, how the Site is used. If you object to this, e-mail us at the address below, or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser — GoatCounter respects it.

3. Cookies & embedded players

By default the Site sets no cookies. The only exception is content you choose to load yourself:

• The Music section can embed players from SoundCloud and Mixcloud. These players stay blocked until you press Accept on the cookie banner.
• Once you accept, those third parties may set their own cookies and receive your IP address, under their own privacy policies: SoundCloud privacy · Mixcloud privacy.
• To remember your choice, we store a single technical value in your browser's local storage (first-party, no tracking). You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

4. Fonts

Web fonts are self-hosted on our own server. No requests are made to Google Fonts or other third parties for typography, so no IP address is shared for that purpose.

5. Contacting us by e-mail

If you send a booking or other request to ccrs@telenet.be, we use the information in your message solely to handle and reply to your request. We keep such correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose.

6. Hosting & server logs

The Site is served by a static web host. Like most web servers, the host may briefly process technical data (such as your IP address) in server logs for security and to deliver the pages. This is done on the basis of legitimate interest and is not used to identify or track you.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, e-mail ccrs@telenet.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, dataprotectionauthority.be).

8. Changes

We may update this policy if the Site changes. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
